The idea for Invicta’s Russian Diver Watch comes from the original Russian Diver Watch which was first made in 1959.

Invicta Russian Diver Watch

In 1959 the Soviet Union had Invicta make approxiametly 100 Russian Dive Watches for the Navy’s Elite Divers.

The current Russian Diver watch is based upon the original design.

The watch has some distinct features:

The first one being the size of the watch. The case diameter is approxiametely 58mm compared to a normal dive watch which is about 40mm.

The second distinction is the weight of the watch. Because the case is all stainless steel overall the weight of the Russian dive watch is very heavy compared to normal watches.

The watch comes with a genuine leather strap and it is extremely thick. The crown guard cap sticks out almost 6mm from the watch case.

The dial of the watch is large and very easy to read. The characters are made with Tritnite, which is Invicta’s luminescent material which allows the watch face to light up a stay bright longer.

The back of the watch is mineral crystal glass allowing you to see the Swiss watch moverment in action.

On the face of the watch the Invicta insignia is at the 3 o’clock position and at the 6 o’clock position is Invicta in Russian along with CCCP.

My description hardly does this watch justice to the beauty of this watch. The Russian Diver watch is a watch you need to see and feel for yourseld to appreciate.

Invicta makes differnet models of the the Russian Diver watch. The model I described is the Original Russian Diver Watch.
